Set talk Words you’ll hear at this stage. Explained once, then we just use them.
rolling the camera is recording.
180° the shutter is open for half of each frame; at 25 fps that is 1/50 s.
ND neutral density filter; cuts light without touching shutter or aperture. Departments Everything decided at the moment of recording: how much light the lens lets in, how long the sensor is exposed, how many frames per second and how the signal is written. These are the decisions that are hardest to fix in post-production.

Measuring your display’s refresh rate…
The moments at which the camera records a frame during the first 100 ms. Each tick = one frame. exposure time = (angle ÷ 360) × (1 ÷ fps)
A single frame of an object moving at one picture width per second. Length of the streak = speed × exposure time. ← Prep Light & sound →
